Anyone here know how to build a roll cage for local stock car racing?

I need a link that explains it simply. Also if you have some good details on stripping the windows, fuel tank and other things for stock car racing. No additions can be made to the car.

First you need to get a rule book from your local track or sanctioning body which will explain what they expect for a (aka what’s a legal) roll cage. It differs all over the country. The best sources are usually local vs. internet because you can build to your track instead of building a generic roll cage. You can also get a lot of info and help from the people who run the track – they’re usually pretty knowledgeable about who to talk to and what to do, and they’re happy to help because then they don’t have to turn you away for an illegal chassy.

Check with Summit, or Jegs I’m sure you can buy a pre made cage for just about any car. Also check with your track about thickness rules and additional bars they may want. If you plan on doing it yourself check Extreme 4×4 on the Spike TV "Power Block" web site I remember they did a show about making cages . Hope this helps

Don’t know where you’re located but this company is near where I live and has a great reputation up here in Canada for it’s rollcage kits. But as the above said check with the track you want to race at first.
