Anyone here know how to build a roll cage for local stock car racing?

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

I need a link that explains it simply. Also if you have some good details on stripping the windows, fuel tank and other things for stock car racing. No additions can be made to the car.

First you need to get a rule book from your local track or sanctioning body which will explain what they expect for a (aka what’s a legal) roll cage. It differs all over the country. The best sources are usually local vs. internet because you can build to your track instead of building a generic roll cage. You can also get a lot of info and help from the people who run the track – they’re usually pretty knowledgeable about who to talk to and what to do, and they’re happy to help because then they don’t have to turn you away for an illegal chassy.

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

I’d like to know the name of some of the best movie about car racing, the one with high critical reception, thanks.

Well, there are tons of great car films, but not too many good racing films.

Best one to come to my head is Days of Thunder (1990).

There are of course otheres such as:
The Fast and the Furious[s]
Talledaga Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006)
Cars (2006)
The Great Race (1965)
The Love Bug (1968)
Speed Racer (2008)
Death Race 2000 (1975)
Driven (2001)

How much would it cost me to change the ignitions system and locks on a Porsche?

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

My uncle got the keys to his Porsche stolen. And now he wants to change the whole ignition system and locks on the car. How much would this cost? And also is this really necessary?

Depends on the year of the car. If its just a regular key a lock smith can re-key it for a couple of hundred dollars. If its a late model with electronic keys then he is looking at close to $2000 to get a new lock set.

What is cool about a Maserati Quattroporte?

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

It doesn’t look good. Why do people like this car? I don’t get it?
I like the looks of Lamborghini though.

1. It looks good
2. It’s hand built
3. It has a lot of racing herritage behind it.
4. It’s built by ferrari
5. It is constructed from very high quality materials
6. It’s exclusive
7. It handles like a sports car

How much is the salary range for a malaysian to own a ferrari or a bentley?

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

how much should one earn to purchase a Ferrari, Porsche or a Bentley in malaysia? What should his/her earning be each month?
thank you.

Anyone who can afford to pay RM3,500/= or more to a bank or finance company per month can drive away a brand new Ferrari or Bentley…..or Porsche…. With family and personal expenses of say, RM3,000/= per month, a person requires, say, some RM8,000/= + monthly income to live comfortably and to own and maintain such luxary and high performance cars……that need not all come from a "salary" ……
